It isn’t exactly a first for the songster. But it means a lot. For Future, it’s the second time popping at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. For Tems, the Nigerian singer who worked with him on the number, it’s a first.
For Drake, the other collaborator on “Wait For U,” it’s the 10th time popping at number 1 on that chart. Yeah, the certified lover boy of Canadian music has already made nine appearances at number 1 previously. Now he has a rounded figure.
“Wait For U” is part of Future’s latest album, “I Never Liked You,” which itself recorded a milestone, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard 200 albums chart. Future now has his 8th No. 1 album on Billboard 200 albums chart with that milestone.
