Organisations for Gender Based Violence call for AKA’s music to be muted by radio stations and music streaming services.

The drama surrounding SA Hip Hop star, AKA is just crazy right now. Since the true nature of his relationship with the late Nelli Tembe was revealed, he has been called out all over social media. Several videos and photos show they both had a toxic and violent relationship.

Women For Change, a movement against Gender Based Violence in the country has now called for radio stations and music streaming services to mute the rapper’s music. The companies who endorsed the rapper have also been adviced to #mute him too.

According to two anonymous messages sent to the organisation, Anele was allegedly not the only one the “Energy” rapper was violent toward. One of the messages claims that the Mzansi emcee was like that with his previous girlfriend (who he slapped at an event). He has also been accused of abusing hard substances.
