George Floyd Was A Member Of A Legendary Houston Rap Group With DJ Screw

The late George Floyd was reportedly a rapper and former member of the legendary Screwed Up Click which was led by DJ Screw.

Any person speaking about the rap history in Houston cannot relate it without mentioning the influence of DJ Screw. The person would also mention the ‘chopped and screwed’ sound. Up till now, Houston artists such as Don Toliver, Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, and more, still embrace the sound in their music.

Some information has started to break about the death of George Floyd, who recently relocated to Minneapolis. George was reportedly killed by a police officer.  Reports reveal that the late George Floyd was a member of DJ Screw’s legendary group, Screwed Up Click.

George Floyd, known as Big Floyd, was an extended member of the legendary group. Other members include Lil’ Flip, Big Moe, Fat Pat, and Big Pokey, as well as affiliates UGK. F, and Lil’ Troy.

A Screw freestyle which is titled ‘Sittin on Top of the World’ has been trending on social media, following the death of George Floyd. The track featured an appearance from the late forty-six-year-old rapper.

On the DJ Screw Chapter 319 two-disc mixtape, George Floyd can be heard. This is one of the tapes that DJ Screw dropped before he passed away.

According to reports, George Floyd was a close friend of Stephen Jackson, the NBA star. Because of how close they are, he referred to the baller as ‘twin.’
