Grammy Awards Mistakes Another Nigerian Artist For Burna Boy

The Grammys gets dragged on social media after mistaking another Nigerian artist for this year’s nominee and performer, Burna Boy.

The Grammy Awards are catching smoke for a recent mistake involving Burna Boy. The prestigious awards show previously announced the Nigerian singer as one of the artists to grace the stage at the ceremony.

However, they made a big mistake while posting a commercial announcing the “City Boys” star’s performance. They featured another singer, Seyi Vibez, who they mistook for Burna. Vibez was featured in the song “Giza” on the Grammy-nominated album “I Told Them.”

After getting called out by fans for the mistake, they deleted the video. Fans have slammed the awards show for disrespecting the singer. Others believe the “mistakes” was racially motivated because of the colour of Burna’s skin. Some found it hard to believe that the awards would mistake a big performer like Burna, who has also won a Grammy.

Atlantic, you will pay for your crimes.” @mafia30 wrote, “They wont know him because his nominations are always done behind the scenes by his record label.” @GucciStarBoy replied, “Lmao Grammy don’t know who he is, Atlantic & always buying spots for him sigh✋😂💔”
