Graphic Designer, SbuCreative, Features AKA, Nasty C, A-Reece, Reason, And Others For His ‘Lyrics That Spoke To Me’ Series

Music keeps playing important roles in the lives of people. People listen to music to fulfill several purposes. One of the main essentials of music that makes it soothing is the lyrics. Some words used in a song reminds you of an event that happened in the past or make you hopeful about the future. Some words could also comfort you. However the case may be, the lyric of a song is a major part of hip hop.

Sibusiso Nkosi, popularly known by the stage name, Sbu Creative, is a graphic designer, animator, and illustrator. He recently designed a series that demonstrated the lyrics that spoke to him.

Sbu Creative said:

This is an illustrated series where I chose lyrics that spoke to me at different times in my life. The aim was to show appreciation to the artists for delivering those songs or verses and also tell my own story using each verse. Nine artists were selected and divided into different categories, three female rappers, three younger generation rappers, and three older generation rappers. Hip-Hop music has been a part of my life since I was 10 years old and it felt right and fitting to use this genre for the series.

The series feature series from notable Mzansi artists such as AKA, A-Reece, Rouge, Nadia Nakai, Reason, Nasty C, Boity Thulo, Touchline, and Blaklez.
