Harriet Manamela shows gratitude to Flo Masebe for stepping in for her while she underwent surgery.
A new report by Sunday World reveals that Harriet Manamela has recovered and is ready to return to work. She is reported to have had hip surgery at the beginning of the year. “Skeem Saam” announced that Florence Masebe would be stepping in to temporarily replace Manamela as Meike Maputla, the matriarch of the Maputla household.
Back now, Manamela thanked everyone for the love they showed her. She said,
“Even though there was no clear explanation why I had to be off the screen, production had to find a sit-in for me. Your support and wishing me well humble my heart, and you all are much appreciated. Now that production is on a shooting break, it is more time to enjoy seeing people and catching up. My family, as always, derives its strength from your love.”
She showed love to her colleagues for supporting her,
“My colleagues checking up on me as often as you do melts my heart, and to my friends, taking moments to enjoy the sunshine with me is priceless.”
She also thanked Flo for stepping in for her,
“You responded to the call of duty and did what you knew best. Being one of South Africa’s most powerful performers, we definitely look forward to enjoying your episodes and your strong abilities to bring characters to life.”
