A day ago – on 28 September 2020 – the songstress shared an image of her, in white robes, clutching what appears to be a staff, or a sword. A laconic “they called upon me…” was the caption to this Instagram post.
This caption left fans curious. Who called upon her? What for? The questions are multiplying but Khanyi Mbau isn’t volunteering answers just right. The calling she speaks of might become public in October – less than a week away.
At the moment, however, speculations are rife that she might take up the office of a local healer or sangoma.
By the way, the symbolic costume she wore on the post spoken of earlier might indicate Ubungoma, a divine calling one is born into. It is said that when a person is called to Ubungoma, she (or he) is possessed by ancestral spirits and her life is altered dramatically.
