Here’s What Mama Joy’s Rugby World Cup Trip Cost Taxpayers

She is one of the most visible sports fans in South Africa right now, always to be found during important games involving the national team in different sports events.

She is none other than Mama Joy. And yes, she was in France for the Rugby World Cup, which South Africa won after demolishing New Zealand.

Well, details are beginning to emerge about her trip to France for the Rugby World Cup. With her “Superfan” tag, Mama Joy’s trip to France and her other expenses were essentially taken care of by the South African government.

Details streaming into the public domain suggest that her trip to France and other ancillary expenses have cost the taxpayers about R1.3 million.

Now, that’s a grand sum by South African standards. which perhaps explains why many are curious that so much was spent on the trip to support the Springboks in France.

Well, while South Africans are complaining, it doesn’t appear like Mama Joy has any qualms about her trip right now. As a top fan – or a superfan, if you please – her job was to be present and cheer the national team to victory, and she has done just that. Can you beat that? Lol.
