AKA finally explains why he’s dropping an EP instead of an album next month.
Around the beginning of the year, Mzansi rapper, AKA announced that he would be flooding the airwaves with new music this year. He also stated clearly that he felt for whoever else would drop music.
Well, he wasn’t playing because it has been a rain of tunes from him this year both as a featured act and as a solo act. We have all since anticipated the release of a musical project from him. However, fans were shocked when he announced he’d be dropping an EP instead of an album.
While we didn’t see that coming, it still excited the most of us. After a fan pleaded with the rapper to change the EP to an album he finally shared the reason for the EP. He revealed that for the first time, he’s dropping a project with a theme with no rules and ultimate freedom of expression.
“Only reason I’m calling it an EP is because for the first time I’m doing a project according to a THEME with no rules and ultimate freedom of expression lyrically and musically.”
