One of those who have left the popular series so far is Hlomla Dandala. But why did he leave? Naturally, fans were curious, so he had to clarify his exit.
According to the Thespian, “it was time” to leave the 1Magic telenovela, so yeah, he had to leave. His exit had been announced alongside those of Lawrence Maleka and Tango Ncetezo.
In an October public release, the show announced that all three would be leaving to delve into new adventures. It also revealed that some storylines had come to an end.
Leaving for Hlomla Dandala, who played the role of Zweli Dikana in the flick mentioned earlier, is like pivoting. If one plays a role, say, that of a weak character, for a long time and remains in that role, it might be hard to pivot and leaving becomes difficult.
The reactions to his exit have been mixed. While some fans noted they would miss him on the telenovela, some wished him the best going into another role he likes.
