Hum To Search – Check Out Google’s New Innovative Feature For The Music Industry

Google’s innovative drive continues with the recent addition of SoundSearch feature to the search engine. The feature was announced last week and is now available globally.

Senior product manager at Google Krishna Kumar stated that the feature is available on Android (over 20 languages) and on iOS (English). More languages will be added in the future.

According Kumar, Google is only too aware how frustrating it can be when one cannot remember the name of a song or any of the words. Google’s new algorithm is able to recognize hums. Now when users a hum melody into search, the melody is transformed in sequences resenting a song’s melody. Humming as well as whistling can be transformed.

With this new features, we might have stepped into the “just hum it” era in music and entertainment. Just hum it and Google might get you what you want. Google shared a video demonstrating the SoundSearch which you can check out below.

the new search feature will be especially helpful to those with short memory span and those not in the habit of saving anything in their heads.
