Another day, another run with Mzansi hit maker, Busiswa Gqulu. The talented vocalist is one of the country’s most versatile hit makers. She can literally vibe to any genre, and still remain flawless.
The “SBWL” hit maker has been called a rapper several times, which has spurred the debate as to whether or not she is. Recently announced as one of MTV Base’s Hottest MCs this year, she opened up about it all. According to her, she doesn’t classify as a rapper. She also revealed her reasons.
She stated that she doesn’t subscribed to most to the things rappers do, like delivering 16 bars or doing freestyles. However, she announced that she is a poet, and knows exactly how to communicate with words. This we all know. It has certainly shaped her music. Check out her interview below.
