Investigation Launched Over Actress Mmabatho Montsho’s Take On Metro FM Interview With Hamas Terrorist Attack Survivor

Metro FM has reportedly opened an investigation into the claims made by local actress Mmabatho Montsho that it supports the Israeli government.

In South Africa, people often dismiss the Jewish state as “Zionist apartheid” even though there is no evidence pointing to apartheid being in place in the country.

Anyway, that did not stop the South African government, which has allied itself with dictatorships like Iran and Russia, from making a genocide claim against Israel – which it lost at the ICJ.

But that has not stopped many South Africans from exhibiting hostility towards the Jewish state. Also, it has led to waves of antisemitism, leading some people to hide their Jewish identity in South Africa and others not to show their support for the Jews publicly.

Back to Mmabatho Montsho. She claimed that Metro FM supports Israel given the station’s scheduled interview with Millet Ben Haim, a survivor of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack.

As a result, the station had to cancel the interview with Haim and delete the post about the interview, while also noting it is launching an investigation into Mmabatho Montsho’s take on the planned interview.

Beyond that, the station also pointed out that it wanted to interview the survivor of the terrorist attack because it supports fair and balanced content.
