Is Idols SA Boring Without Somizi?

Most South Africans say that the Idols SA show has become boring to watch without Somizi Mhlongo.

Many weeks back, news broke about Somizi and estranged husband, Mohale Motaung’s marriage. The latter revealed that the Idols SA star had been abusive toward him since they tied the knot. Of course, Mzansi was stunned by this, and it all resulted in Mhlongo being taken off the talent show. News is that he took a break.

The Idols SA organisers announced that the 17th season would continue without Somizi as a judge. Each episode would have a guest judge joining Unathi and Randall Abrahams. Of course, at the time, Mzansi loved the idea, but they do not seem to love it that much anymore.

Sunday’s episode saw Unathi, Randall, and Lady Du as judges. Although Du’s performance received praise, many are calling for Somizi to be brought back as judge. According to them, it has become boring to watch without him in it.
