“Isibuko” Album Listening Session: Sjava Talks Alcohol, Sobriety & His Career

Sjava recently released a new album titled Isibuko. But before then, he had a listening session for the project and many of his friends and associates were on the ground to check out what he had created.

The listening session was also an opportunity for the BET Award-winning musician to give insight into his creative process and the life he used to live in the early days of his career. It has often been said that musicians and alcohol are like five and six.

The songster affirmed that in a sense when he noted that he used to take alcohol and have a wild time with his associates without being too focused on his music. While he wasn’t exactly condemning drinking, he affirmed that one is most likely to make a fool of one’s self as a result of alcohol consumption.

Now that he is no longer hooked to alcohol, according to him, he is better off and more focused on his music – generally doing well, compared to before when alcohol appeared to hold him by the hand. You can check out the clip below.

By the way, “Isibuko” has been a hit of sorts among fans since it was released, and it continues to generate positive reviews.
