The young rapper has started the year in a great way and has since been making waves. The ‘Strings & Bling’ hitmaker, who recently signed a new deal with the American record label, Def Jam Recordings, has announced that he will be adding acting to a number of talents he possesses.

The talented rapper took to his Instagram page to stun his fans with a piece of great and exhilarating news. He revealed that he will be making an appearance in the highly-anticipated Netflix African Original Young Adult series titled ‘Blood & Water.’

The talented rapper, who is widely-acclaimed as a skilled rapper, has achieved another feat following the premiere of his music video ‘There They Go.’

The thrilling music video has received positive comments as it was released earlier this year. The music video features pictures from his hometown of Durban. Nasty C acts the role of the child who has become successful. He also made the narrative more entertaining with lyrics that spell out his success and hard work.

Who could ever defeat the lyrical composure of the artist who has held the position for four consecutive years as the number one most-streamed South African artist on Apple Music.

Nasty C has spoken on diversifying into acting. He said:

It’s insane! I’ve never really acted before and even though I was being myself by making music, it was a crazy experience. I’m super proud to be a part of the Blood & Water soundtrack. There’s some dope artists included as well and the series is really made for the youth, which I’m excited about.

Speaking on his role in the highly-anticipated Netflix original series, he further said:

My character is KB’s (Thabang Molaba) producer who helps him put together really cool tracks. This is what I do every day and so it was a natural role for me.

The six-part young adult series is directed by power-house Nosipho Dumisa. The series tells a gripping story that centres on first love, betrayal, and also mystery. The story focuses on a young and ambitious girl Puleng Khumalo (Ama Qamata) who is on a search for her missing older sister that has been abducted at birth. Looking at the synopsis of the long-awaited series, I’m certain that you’re also eager to watch the series and see appearances from one of the most talented artists in Mzansi, Nasty C.
