It’s not Yet Uhuru As R. Kelly Trends Again Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct

It is not yet for disgraced singer R Kelly as his bid to delay his sentencing for sex trafficking and racketeering was rejected.

The “Trapped in the Closet” singer had asked for a delay until an upcoming Chicago trial on separate charges was dispensed with.

With his bid for a delay rejected, his sentencing will continue as scheduled this June. The storm of ignominy surrounding him notwithstanding, the songster insists he’s innocent of the charges against him.

In a 2019 interview, R Kelly had furiously dismissed claims that he sexually abused four women, including three underaged. He had wept at some point and noted that he didn’t need to, so why would he do that?

On the social media scene, it’s been a mixed bag for the songster. Some social media users think he’s innocent of the charges against him and have begun a   campaign to see that he’s freed from the slammer.

Others think there’s a trove of evidence for his conviction and that he should rot in jail.

The arguments for his conviction and for his freedom were many and ensured the songster emerged as one of the trending topics on social media. His fate will be decided in June.
