Mzansi lights up, reacting to a leaked chat of football star Jabulani Mokone’s grandmother.
Jabulani Mokone is making his Gogo proud with his moves on the football scene. In a recent leaked chat, his grandmother thanks him for fulfilling his promise and playing for the team she loves, Orlando Pirates. She writes,
“Hi, mjapani. Thanks for keeping your promise to your gogo, and may the man upstairs bless you and your craft [sic] .”
The chat has had Mzansi in stitches since it dropped.
According to sports reports, the team faced injury woes, so coach Riveiro elevated Jabulani Mokone, who was playing for the reserves.
Since he was promoted, the football star has since been training with the senior team. He has also promised to deliver. He said,
“I have to say that I’m very thankful for the opportunity to play, and thank you to everyone who voted for me to be in the team,” Phakaaathi reports.
“It was a really good experience playing against a top team and playing alongside experienced players. I enjoyed the game. Thanks to the senior players and the coaches, they made sure that we were ready for the match and were not afraid to make mistakes.”
“This is just a step towards my ultimate goal, which is to play in the first team. But that will happen in time and I know that there is still a lot to learn.”
