In the spirit of humanitarianism, award winning American artists Jay-Z and Rihanna are joining forces to donate 1 million dollars each for Covid-19 response effort.
The artists through their foundations, Shawn Carter Foundation, along with Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation are giving funds out to support undocumented workers, elderly, homeless population, the children of first responders/frontline workers, prisoners/elderly in Los angles and New York provinces respectively. The funds been offered are also for offering daycare, learning material and food/daily supplies for the children of the health workers working day in and out to keep the virus at bay. As these health workers spend a lot of time away from their families.
The initiative was brought up by the organizations in order to give the adequate support needed to the vulnerable and health workers who are risking their lives to help save those who have contracted the disease and the citizens who don’t have any means of surviving during the trying times.
