Famous TV personality Jeannie Mai has slammed accusations that she has been “gatekeeping” her daughter from her ex Jeezy.
Jeannie Mai is speaking out against accusations that she is a “gatekeeper” regarding her estranged husband Jeezy’s time with their baby girl, Monaco. The TV host has slammed her rapper ex over the allegations.
She said that she has shown “remarkable flexibility” while trying to accommodate his requested co-parenting dates. The two are currently going through a message divorce and custody battle. According to a report by Page Six, court documents obtained by the Public on Tuesday reveal that the TV show claims she “remains committed to facilitating and encouraging” Jeezy’s involvement in their child’s life.
She also stated in the documents that she wants to “foster an open, supportive, and safe environment for both parents to actively participate” in their daughter’s life. This includes making sure that her ex’s firearms are properly stored.
The document further reads, “It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecure in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being.”
