The wins continue for actress Jennifer Lopez as she’s set to receive the Generation Award at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday, May 5, in Santa Monica, California.
JLo will be honoured for her achievements in the world of film. The award she’s to be given tomorrow celebrates actors and actresses who have contributed massively to the growth of television and film and have thus become household names.
A statement by the executive producers Wendy Plaut and Vanessa White Wolf indicates that Jennifer embodies everything about the Generation Award.
The statement credits her as a woman who does it all — in the acting, singing, dancing, producing, fashion and beauty realms — a timeless icon who’s made a lasting impact on film, TV, music and culture.”
With her selection, she joins the list of other iconic arts who have previously been honoured, including Reese Witherspoon, Tom Cruise, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Chris Pratt, Will Smith, Sandra Bullock, and Robert Downey Jr.
The Generation Award follows another good news — Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are working on getting married after breaking up several years ago.
