Biography
Jesse André Kriel is a South African professional rugby union player. He plays for the South Africa national team and Canon Eagles in the Japanese Top League. Kriel’s regular playing position is as a utility back, but he can also play centre, wing, or fullback. He was part of the national team that won the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Career;
Kriel was still a student at Maritzburg College in 2012 when he was selected to represent the Sharks under 18. He put in work after that and has since built a profile for himself. His hard work has attracted many teams to sign him. A year after that, he was approved by the Blue Bulls to represent them in under 20. At the time, he played the fullback position. In 2015, he received an invitation to train with Springbok RWC; he was later selected to play outside center position in a match against World XV at Newlands.
Kriel also represents South Africa in Japan, and he is in the Canon Eagles squad that competes in the Top League.
