Jimmy Fallon Trends Amid Death Hoax

The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon trends heavily amid death hoax.

If you’re reading this, then it is possible that you’ve spotted the hashtag alluding to Jimmy Fallon’s death. Well, you should know it’s all a hoax. The Tonight Show host is still alive and well. He does say so himself.

The trend blew up on Twitter after a fake The Tonight Show account posted the message, “It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a late-night legend, husband, and father of two, Jimmy Fallon. 1923-2022.” with a picture of the host. Well, you should have figured out that it was all lies looking at the year of birth.

If Fallon was born in 1923, that would make him 99 this year. And no, he doesn’t even look 50. Fallon was born in 1974. The viral tweet also gave rise to several Ligma jokes. Recall that it is a made-up disease and internet hoax that falsely killed Fortnite streamer Ninja.

Twitter has been filled with them since. Fallon, after debunking his false death rumours, reached out to Elon Musk for help. He tweeted, “Elon, can you fix this? #RIPJimmyFallon”. The American billionaire is yet to respond (at the time of writing this). Check out some of the tweets below.
