Ne of those who have been anticipating a new album from Joey Badass, you may want to know that the songster has postponed the release date.
The Brooklyn rapper tweeted that he got some “terrible” news regarding his album “2000.” He noted that it would no longer drop tonight due to issues he’s having with sample clearance.
He also clarified that he’s uncertain how long he’d have to postpone the release but hopes it would not exceed two weeks. He wanted to be clear when he’d release the album and communicate the same at the time of the announcement of the postponement. But it was out of his control/
In a follow-up tweet, he noted that he would keep his fans updated on a new release date, which he’s optimistic he would have by Monday. He noted that he and Chance The Rapper’s song would drop on the day he’s hopeful he’d have a clue when the album would drop – today, Friday, June 17.
Some fans were unimpressed, though. They claimed that the postponement was nothing but an attempt to promote the song with Chance The Rapper.
Anyway, expectations are still high that he’d announce the release date for the album next week.
