It has just emerged that Johnny Depp wanted nude photos of his ex-wife Amber Heard shared in court during their litigation battle that eventually ended in victory for the Once Upon A Time in Mexico actor.
In the weeks-long legal battle between the famous actor and his then-wife, Amber Heard, a Virginia jury had ruled in favour of Johnny Depp and awarded him $10.35 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
For her part, Amber Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages.
The case elicited great interest at the time, with many social media users commenting about it all. Initially, public opinion was against Johnny Depp in the trial of the case. Along the line, though, opinions had swerved in his favour, leaving Amber Heard in an icy place.
The genesis of their public spat was Johnny Depp filing a defamation suit against Heard back in 2018, following a Washington Post article in which she had claimed that he assaulted her. The allegations have since been dismissed.
She may have lost the legal battle, but as one fan noted, it was even better that her nudes were never revealed in court as part of the trial – contrary to what her ex-husband had wanted.
