Jonathan Majors Will Not Play Dennis Rodman in New Biopic

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” star Jonathan Majors will no longer play Dennis Rodman in a new biopic.

According to recent reports, actor Jonathan Majors has lost another significant role. The 34-year-old who was previously reported to play Dennis Rodman in “48 Hours In Vegas” will no longer do it. This comes after the star was found guilty on assault and harassment charges last month.

According to PEOPLE, over a year ago, Majors was announced to play the Chicago Bulls star. The film is inspired by Rodman’s infamous trip to Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA finals. Deadline reports that the film, originally intended to be produced under Lionsgate, has been released back to producers Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Aditya Sood, as Lionsgate is no longer involved.

According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, the Chicago Bulls star Rodman is also an Executive Producer. Majors has lost several roles after he was found guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree, recklessly causing physical injury, and harassment in the second degree in December 2023. This was after a broadly publicized domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in New York, which happened in March.

PEOPLE also reported that Marvel Studios confirmed that it had parted ways with the actor, “who was set to star in various other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe titles, including a fifth Avengers movie.”
