Jozi FM CEO Talks About Hiring Penny Ntuli

Jozi FM CEO has opened up about hiring Penny Ntuli amid her fallout with Gagasi FM.

Penny Ntuli dominated the news after her exit from Gagasi FM. It was recently announced that she has joined the station as the host of the Mid-Morning Chat show from 9am-12pm Monday to Friday. The radio star disclosed that Gagasi FM had offered to renew her contract at a R2,800 monthly salary.

Speaking to Sunday World about hiring Ntuli, the CEO of Jozi FM, Mpho Mhlongo said she has a gift. He said,

“We hired her because of the gift she has and the different talents that she has. So, for us, we wanted to allow her to do what she has been gifted to do. She is an inspiration to many people if you understand her background. It makes it easy for many to be inspired by her journey in this industry, where there are limited opportunities.”

“We started talking to her at the end of last week. We had a very long discussion even though she was very difficult to get hold of. My discussion with her was that she did not have to come to us. When she told me she wanted to take a break from radio, I advised against that idea. Because the world is moving on and she will be forgotten if she takes that break.”
