JR Details Encounter With Emtee

Mzansi muso JR has revealed how he tracked down felow muso Emtee and got his to endorse some of his works.

Apparently JR had listened to Emtee and loved his sound, so he decided to link up with the former Ambitiouz Entertainment star who now runs his now record label.

JR, who runs a YouTube channel called Feel Good Sessions, has been instrumental to the discovery of several talents, including Kamo Mphela of the “SBWL” fame. The channel hosts performances by South African artistes.

In a recent tweet, JR detailed how he met the Emtee Records’s boss, describing his trap gift as unmatched in the industry. Emtee was recording with some of his pals including Ruff when he JR met him and the two developed a collaborative relationship.

Looking back, the encounter is not something JR regrets, having succeeded in getting Emtee to license some of his works, including “Roll Up” and “Mama.”

Most of those JR discovered are doing pretty well in the industry. Kamo Mphela, for instance, might be counted among the artistes who owned 2020. Based on what she said about a week back, she’s set to shock the industry once again, with a sterling outing this year.
