JT Medupe Reacts To Rumour That He’s Leaving ‘Smoke and Mirrors’

“Smoke and Mirrors” star JT Medupe has finally reacted to the rumor that he’s leaving the show.

Many times, fans spread rumours about some of the top shows in the country, and some times, they turn out to be true. Some fans were heartbroken when rumours spread that JT Medupe will be leaving the e.tv telenovela “Smoke and Mirrors.”

Unfortunately, that seems to be false news. According to a recent report by The South African, the former “Generations: The Legacy” took to the X app to address the rumours that his character had been written out.

This was after a fan of the show, @dima_onzima asked about it, tweeting: “Is it true that you’re also getting rid of Leeroy soon?”

Replied the fan saying, “Sorry to disappoint you but it’s not true.”

The publication writes that Medupe plays gay character, Leeroy who was engaged to Mtheto, played by Kabomo Vilakazi on the show. However, Mthetho left the show on Friday, 12 April when season one ended, on Thandiswa and Caesar’s wedding day.

The South African further writes that the character, Mtheto was a police officer in the fictional town called Emnyameni. Kabomo Vilakazi was not the only one who exited the show. Zolisa Xaluva, known for playing Caesar also got replaced by Hlomla Dandala. Fans haven’t entirely accepted that.
