There appears to be no respite for embattled rapper and media personality Jub Jub, who is facing multiple allegations of assault, most recently against his cousin.
A relative, who pleaded anonymity, claimed that Jub Jub, whose legal name is Molemo Maarohanye, started assaulting her physically when he was released from jail in 2017. Jub Jub had been convicted of manslaughter after he rammed through school children while driving, killing some of them.
That tragic moment sticks with him and some of his critics bring up up persistently to force him out of his place as host of the immensely popular show Uyajola 99.
A report by Sunday World claimed that the alleged assault victim (female) opened the case against him soon after actress Amanda Du=Pont and Kelly Khumalo opened cases of sexual assault against him.
He had dated both women at different points and even had a daughter with Kelly, a teenager called Christian. The genesis of their rape allegations against him stemmed in part from the interview he granted Podcast and Chill With MacG.
On that platform, he had opened up about how he “smashed” Amanda Du-Pont and how Kelly Khumalo uses muthi (or local witchcraft). The interview reverberated across South Africa and Jub Jub’s troubles began.
