#JusticeForAKA: 3 Suspects Reportedly Arrested In Connection With Rapper’s Murder

In what might pass as a small breakthrough in the assassination case of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. The South African Police Services (SAPS) have made three arrests in connection to the rapper’s killing on February 10 this year.

AKA was gunned down at point-blank range as he stepped out of Wish Restaurant on Florida road in Durban. He was in the company of some associates, including Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, his former manager, who was killed with him.

On the day he died, he had shared his location and the food he was eating at the time on his Instagram story, something many considered a great error, in retrospect.

He was buried soon after, and an investigation into the case was opened. At some point, when it appeared like the police had become silent, the late rapper’s fans began trending the hashtag #JusticeforAKA to ensure the case wasn’t swept under the carpet.

The police had to address the public to assure everyone that progress had been made in its investigations.

Perhaps it had actually been making progress, as multiple reports indicated that three men had been arrested in connection to the rapper’s murder. The suspects were arrested in Cape Town but will be brought to Durban in the course of the week.
