#JusticeForNamhla: South African Unite, Call For Justice For Another Victim Of GBV

South Africans are screaming themselves hoarse and clamouring for justice over the murder of Namhla Mtwa.

Namhla Mtwa, 34, was shot at about 7 pm in her vehicle outside her home in Mthatha on April 21. She was declared dead on the spot.

No arrests have been made at the time of her writing. However, suspicions are hovering over her former lover, the businessman Major Mfesane Bhekizulu, whom she had broken up with two months before her murder. She had allegedly received death threats from him before then.

However, he insists he has done nothing wrong, asking those accusing him to allow the law to take its course. He claimed that because of the posts about him on social media, he’s now been attacked for a crime he knows nothing about.

Some South Africans are so miffed with the direction the case is taking. As far as they are concerned, the police have failed. And now, some of them are asking for donations to hire a competent independent investigator.

Celebs and ordinary folk alike, including Mmusi Maimane, have called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to ensure that justice was done in the case.
