SA Hip Hop star says he is to blame for not getting his flowers for Hip Hop fans.
K.O has been on the scene for so long and has recorded and released some big hits. His song “SETE” featuring Young Stunna and Blxckie is his biggest one yet. However, the rapper has not gotten the respect he deserves on the scene.
Speaking a recent interview, he shared that it was all his fault. He blamed the fact that he has never hosted a concert for his fans in SA like his peers. He said, “I’ve never done just the K.O concert back home like where it’s like okay, this is specifically if you walk through those doors you are solely going in there to see this man. My peers have done that you’re talking about Cassper Nyovest, even AKA and all those kinds of people. I’ve never done that.”
He continued to blame himself saying “As much as yes people might say I don’t get enough flowers, to a certain degree, I’m the very reason why I don’t get some of those flowers. Because I don’t give them the reason to put me on that pedestal sometimes.”
“Even though he has yet to receive his flower if he achieves specific goals in his musical career, K.O believes that his longevity makes him the finest. “Im ageing like fine wine in the music space, I’m setting a whole new tone,”
“I think I’m really living the life a lot of hip-hop artists how would they like to see themselves. The longevity that I’m showcasing right now, I’m probably the first one in SA to be at it for this long and be this great for this long.”
