K.O’s Emotinal Moment When Asked About His New Music With Slain Rapper AKA

It is no longer news that South African rapper K.O. was working on something with AKA before the latter was gunned down just outside a popular restaurant in Durban on February 10.

It was a collaboration many South Africans were looking forward to. Eagerly. But with AKA’s death, it appears like things will never be the same again and the decision on whether to release the collaboration or not would be a difficult one.

This much formed part of the conversation the Skhanda World boss had on the set of PopCast recently. As far as he is concerned, with the killing of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, their collaboration is fucked. Realizing his language might appear inappropriate, he asked to be excused over it.

It was an emotional moment having to recall what he and AKA were creating when the “Fela in Versace” rapper dropped dead in the streets, shot at point-blank range, in what has been ruled an assassination.

Interestingly, some social media denizens had earlier accused K.O. of having a hand in AKA’s death, but he dismissed that as patent nonsense while sharing how they were working n something until AKA’s assassination. AKA was buried on the 18th in a private ceremony.
