Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, Nasty C, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, DJ Fresh and more join the lineup of performing acts at the ‘Africa Day Benefit Concert”.
In a few hours, the continent will witness massive Entertainment from its biggest stars. Artists from all over the continent will come together to raise funds for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic through UNICEF.
Joining the lineup of performers are Scorpion Kings, Kabza De Small & DJ Maphorisa, Nasty C, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, DJ Fresh and more. They each made the reveal by posting info about their performances on their social media pages.
The Africa Day Benefit Concert is held to celebrate the African Union against colonialism which was established on May 25th, 1963. The Live show starting at 6PM today will be hosted by Hollywood star, Idris Elba and will be broadcast on MTV Base, and YouTube.
A released statement about the online concert reads,
“The two-hour special will raise funds to support food and health needs for children and families in Africa affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the World Food Programme and UNICEF who are supporting COVID-affected communities across Africa”
