SoccerLaduma reports that Erick Mathoho is a legend in Amakhosi and has chosen to stay with the club rather than search for another club.
As a Naturena legend, he does not want to move on to another club. Amakhosi’s management has yet to decide on the Amakhosi legend. Mathoho chose not to search for a club, despite being unable to sign a new agreement.
Amakhosi’s legendary has less than six months left on his contract. This means that he can sign a contract with any potential club. Additionally, he no longer favors Arthur Zwane or Amakhosi’s management.
According to the same publication, Mathoho played only one minute in the PSL this season. He did not play in the PSL this season, but Amakhosi supporters voted him into their starting team for the Carling Black Label Cup semifinal against Orlando Pirates. But he will unlikely get much game-time in the DStv Premiership because he has fallen far down the pecking list at Naturena.
Amakhosi management is currently discussing Mathoho’s future. He could leave Naturena if the club decides he doesn’t bring any value. However, all hope is not lost, considering the poor form of Kwinika or Dove in recent weeks.
