Kaizer Chiefs Goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune Is Back To The Club Following His Suspension

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has returned to the club after his suspension.

Itumeleng Khune seems to have turned a new leaf after being suspended and disciplined by Kaizer Chiefs. The caption was reported to have shown up to training drunk, leading the club to take disciplinary measures. They wrote,

“Khune was suspended early in December to afford him an opportunity to complete a corrective programme designed for him to meet set expectations for a professional athlete.”

According to a recently shared statement of the club’s official website, during his three-month suspension, Itu Khune said he, “fully participated in the programmes set out for him and believes they assisted with his personal growth and development as a professional athlete as well as an individual.”

The statement further reveals that “he looks forward to working hard at training and sharing his knowledge with his teammates.”

It continues to state that earlier this year, “In January and February, Kaizer Chiefs also allowed Khune to participate on the panel of SABC Sport analysts during the recent Africa Cup of Nations. The experience gained from the exercise will hopefully benefit his life in future.”

It’s Khuna is back at the club now that his suspension is over.
