Zimbabwean player and former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat is allegedly training with Cape Town City.
Khama Billiat has come a long way since he announced that he was retiring from international football in 2022. The star had shocked fans with the statement when he wrote,
“It was all a dream. When I was young, I always dreamt of representing the country, playing for the national team. The dream which seemed far-fetched for a young Khama in Mufakose came when I least expected it. The first day I donned the Warriors badge, I vowed to enjoy myself and always lift the country’s spirits.”
He later joined Kaizer Chiefs and had a good run. However, it was announced that he exited the club after his contract expired in June 2023. Reports were that he was not impressed with the 60 percent pay cut that he was offered by the club.
Cape Town City boss John Comitis also commented his side’s desire to sign Billiat a few weeks after he left the club. News has dominated the net that the star is already training with Cape Town City. He seemingly confirmed the news with a video posted on his page after months of keeping silent. Check the now-deleted video out below.
