Kaley Cuoco, best known for her roles in “The Big Bang Theory” and “The Flight Attendant,” and her partner, Tom Pelphrey, best known for his parts in “Guiding Light” and “Ozark,” have welcomed their first child, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey.
The couple announced the joyful news on their Instagram accounts, along with pictures of their newborn daughter swaddled in a hospital blanket with a large bow. Cuoco wrote in her post, “Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives!” We are ecstatic and thankful for this small miracle. Thank you to all of the physicians, nurses, family, and friends who have come to our aid over the last few days. “We are beyond grateful.” “My heart is full of love and gratitude for this miracle,”
Pelphrey wrote in his own post, which included pictures of his daughter and partner. I will be eternally thankful for my soulmate and best friend @kaleycuoco’s strength and bravery. You are amazing.”
Cuoco, 37, and Pelphrey, 40, started dating in early 2022 and announced their pregnancy in October of that year with an Instagram photo showing them eating pink-frosted cake. Matilda is the couple’s first kid, as well as Cuoco’s first child in general. She was married twice, most recently to equestrian Karl Cook, from whom she separated in 2021.
On social media, fans and friends congratulated the couple, including Cuoco’s erstwhile “Big Bang Theory” co-star Mayim Bialik, who wrote, “Congratulations my friend! What a lovely family! I’m sending you so much affection!” Other fans expressed their joy for the pair and expressed their excitement for them.
Cuoco has received Emmy nominations for her parts in “The Big Bang Theory” and “The Flight Attendant,” and she has long been a well-known figure in the entertainment industry. Pelphrey has also received notice for his acting efforts in recent years, particularly for his role in “Ozark.”
Fans and colleagues reacted positively to the couple’s baby announcement, and the couple is sure to appreciate their new role as parents to their “little miracle.”
