American rapper KanyeWest displayed his business acumen once again by releasing merch for his “DONDA” album launch same day of the launch – yesterday August 5 2021. And oh, were fans excited about it all!
The official merch site indicate that the merch items were pieces released specifically for the launch event which took place at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Atlanta, GA, on August 5.
The inscription on the merch affirmed this much. A part of the merch is a black long sleeve emblazoned with the Star of David and a cross within. This might indicate Kanye West’s adventure into the spiritual and his renunciation of the world for Christ.
The long sleeve also bears the words “DONDA” as well as the release date of the merch (August 5, 2o21.) “Donda” is the name of Kanye West’s mother who died following complications from a breast reduction surgery years ago. He had immortalized her with a song of the same title. He does the immortalizing on a larger scale.
By the way, reports indicate that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the merch will go to The Donda Foundation. The merch is currently available at shop.kanyewest.com.
