Kanye West’s Listening Party For “Donda” Album Breaks Apple Music Global Livestream Record

Even before official release, American rapper Kanye West’s “Donda” album is already breaking records. The listening party for the songster’s intensely anticipated “Donda” album broke the Apple Music Global Livestream record.

The record was previously held by Jeezy and Gucci Mane’s rap battle (1.8 million streams). With 3.3 million streams for “Donda” listening party, Ye snaps the record. But how long will he hold it?

Kanye West held the listening party for “Donda” album on Thurday 22 July at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Atlanta, quickly ascending in streaming stats and ultimately breaking Apple Music Global Livestream record.

By the way, “Donda” is named for Kanye West’s mother who died following complications from a breast reduction surgery. Ye had previously teased the eponymous song from the project, cluing fans in on what to expect.

Apparently the wait for the album will soon be over. An associate of Kanye West indicated that the rapper’s “Donda” album will be out on 6 August 2021. Well, until the project drops, fans can only watch and wait.
