A win is especially significant when it is achieved in a foreign land and when a song from the winning country is played to celebrate that win. That was exactly what happened recently in France when the South African rugby team faced the French side and beat them on their turf.
The symbolism of that moment wasn’t lost on many South Africans, from the celebs to the ordinary folk. One of the celebs who was moved by that moment and how it played out was South African media personality Katlego Maboe.
Taking to his Twitter page, he had celebrated the moment with a with of the event. For him, the most significant was the playing of the song “Nkalakatha” following the win.
