It’s a time of rejoicing for TV personality Katlego Maboe, having won the case against his estranged lover Monique Muller.
It’s been two years of court battles, and Katlego Maboe is grateful to have not only ended the case but to have done so in victory.
In 2020, his then-partner Monique Muller had accused him of being unfaithful, which he admitted, but he dismissed the claim that he was abusive in their relationship.
When the case erupted in 2020, Katlego Maboe’s career hit rock bottom, with organizations canceling their sponsorships and discontinuing their relationship with him, leading to loss of income.
In his statement following his victory over Monique Muller, Katlego Maboe had made it clear that he suffered great reputational damage as a result of Monique’s claims, emphasizing that the matter was finally dismissed by the court.
He’s also filed an interdict against Monique Muller’s brother, Seth Muller, who’d made what he called unfounded claims against Katlego in support of Monique.
Katlego Maboe is also taking legal action against Sabrina Walter, founder of Women of Change, as well as the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA). See the statement below.
