“The Voice Of Africa” Kelly Khumalo has finally spoken out about the developing Senzo Meyiwa case.
Recently a file was “leaked” from the nation Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA’s) office indicating that the singer is a person of interest in the murder of the “Bafana Bafana” goalie. The footballer had been murdered in Kelly Khumalo’s presence in the Vosloorus area of South Africa in 2014.
Investigations had been initiated from then but not conviction has been made. At some point, a “hitman” had alleged that Kelly Khumalo had sent her to do the deed. But his case wasn’t taken seriously. Some think he is just a distraction.
Recent developments in the case – leading to the leak that suggests Kelly Khumalo is a person of interest in the footballer’s death – has spawned a response from Kelly Khumalo, delivered through her legal rep and former Economic Freedom Fighter’s (EFF’s) former treasurer-general Magdalene Moonsamy.
In a statement, the legal rep indicated that the singer has chosen to keep mum on the subject in the interest of her children. She also stated that Kelly Khumalo is not a person of interest in the case and should be treated as such.
