Kell Khumalo’s adventures continue with a visit to Mozambique, a neighbour to her home country South Africa.
The celebrated artiste did not reveal the reason for her visit, but sources say she was there to secure the bag – as they say in entertainment circles.
On hand to welcome her into Mozambique were the country’s Minister of Culture and tourism Aldevina Materula and Vice Minister Fredson Bacar. The songstress shared pictures of the welcome party and herself a day ago on Instagram.
There were also pictures of her, without government officials. In Mozambique, she also met the jazz saxophonist Moreira Chonguiça, whom she called her new brother. She also spent time in the cultural space and restaurant owned by her new brother (VIVO by Moreira Chonguiça).
Kelly Khumalo has been a loud voice against the manner the government has been handling the coronavirus pandemic in South Africa vis-à-vis the welfare of entertainers in South Africa.
At one point, she had denounced the South African minister of culture for not caring, suggesting as last resort, that artistes move in with the minister so that he can be privy to their suffering and take care of themselves since he seems to care only about himself.
