Kelly Khumalo Reportedly Spurns Idols SA Offer For Stand Up South Africa

“Dance Comigo” songstress Kelly Khumalo has reportedly turned down an offer to take up a judging role on reality television show Idols SA and instead taken up another offer.

Kelly Khumalo’s name was among those heavily bandied a round as replacement for Somizi, following his exit from the judging panel.

Somizi had reportedly taken a break from the judging panel to take care of his personal challenges. He’d been accused by his estranged husband Mohale Motaung of assault, among other things.

This provoked his exit from the panel, leading Mzansi to throw in names like Kelly Khumalo, Phat Joe and several others as possible replacements. But show organizers had stated back then that they’d be inviting guest judges now and then.

According to reports, Kelly Khumalo did not entertain an offer from Mzansi Magic, organizers of Idols SA, because she was already committed to a judging role role on SABC 2’s reality show Stand Up South Africa, which would see families compete for a grand price of R100, 000.

Details of her contract with SABC 2 are not out there, but she’ll be sharing the judging panel with Dineo Langa, Darren Kurt, and Lorcia Cooper.

Well what do you think of Kelly Khumalo rejecting the Idols SA offer.
