Keyshia Cole Has Not Successfully Gotten Mary J. Blige To Collaborate With Her

American singer, Keyshia Cole, revealed that she has tried to get Mary J. Blige to feature on a track. However, her efforts over the years have turned futile.

The Bay Area singer has collaborated with many hitmakers throughout her career. Keyshia featured Missy Elliot and Lil Kim on the hit song ‘Let It Go,’ Monica made an appearance in ‘Trust,’ she collaborated with Diddy on ‘Last Night,’ and Amina in ‘Shoulda Let You Go.’

Keyshia Cole would love to collaborate with several other artists to produce hit songs. However, the award-winning singer has revealed her dream of working with the ‘No More Drama’ singer, Mary J. Blige, on a track.

Keyshia Cole revealed while talking with ‘Hollywood Unlocked’ that she does not know how to convince the R &B legend to collaborate with her.

During an Instagram Live session, a fan of Keyshia had asked if there was anyone that she would desire to interview on her show. After Keyshia mentioned Mary J. Blige, she talked about her memories of the singer and how she has tried to get the singer to collaborate with her.

Keyshia Cole said:

I ain’t gonna lie. I was so happy Mary even let me open up for her at a show that she had in Miami. I’ve been asking Mary for years and years to do a record because the fans want to hear it and it would have been amazing to do something like that at the height of my career and at the height of her career. That would have been super amazing, I felt like.

The talented singer revealed that it had been years since she last spoke to the R&B legend and brought up the idea of a collaboration.

I asked her this last time and she said, ‘I don’t – I don’t know.’ And I was just like, ‘Hm?

Mary J. Blige didn’t give a definite answer. She never said yes or no. However, no progress has been recorded.

Keyshia Cole continued:

She said, ‘Don’t you prefer me to be honest with you about it?’ I said, ‘That’s true.’ ‘Cause at least she didn’t lead me on and tell me, ‘Probably.’ Even though ‘probably’ is better no.’

Keyshia concluded with a laugh.
