Khaby Lame Is Now The Most-Followed TikTok User

Khaby Lame is officially the king of TikTok. Yeah, you heard that right. The 22-year-pls Senegalese has just reached an impressive 143 million followers on TikTok, the highest followership on that platform.

Previously, the most-followed account on TikTok was that of the teen dancer D’Amelio, who had 142.3 million followers.

At some port, Khaby Lame’s followers wanted him to take the top spot, so they started campaigning for him to get there. The campaign eventually paid off, with the Senegalese taking the number spot on the platform, ahead of even more famous celebs like the Kardashian sisters.

Khaby Lame started using TikTok about two years ago after losing his job as a factory hand. However, he only started becoming famous in 2021. He had marched on in visibility since, ultimately clinching the spot as the number one account of TikTok, which has over 1 billion users.

The idea behind his TikTok account, according to him, was to bring simplicity to the videos he saw. And the best way he thought to reach as many people as possible was to say nothing in his videos.

His ideas have since paid off. He’s not only a dollar millionaire but the number one man on TikTok. Who says consistency doesn’t pay?
