Mzansi actress Khanyi Mbau has denied knowing about the boxing match against Zodwa Wabantu, and the show’s promoter has announced a replacement.
Khanyi Mbau has just broken hearts, but we aren’t sure if she meant to. It was previously reported that the star would face off with Zodwa Wabantu in the first-ever female celebrity boxing match.
According to reports, the match was to be held at The Ridge C@sino in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, on 22 October. However, Khanyi says it’s all a lie and that she had no knowledge of the match. She confirmed to Sunday Times,
“No Admin it’s a LIE, I’m not doing any fight with Zodwa mina, says @mbaureloaded.” “I’m a lady, why would I do that? My brand wouldn’t allow me to do such.” The promoter of the boxing match, Arnold Nododile, also confirmed that Khanyi would not be a part of the match.
“Khanyi will no longer be part of the fight, please note we’ve found a potential replacement to fight with Zodwa Wabantu. We are just waiting for the actress to return the contract today (Wednesday), so we can make the posters to promote the fight.”
