Popular Mzansi singer Khanyisa has reacted to American singer and RnB icon Alicia Keys endorsing her.
Indeed, you never know who’s watching and what they think of you. African artists all over the continent have been getting the attention of the international audience for a few years now.
Several artists, including Nigerian stars Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tems, Ckay, Rema, and South African stars, including Uncle Waffles, Kabza De Small, Tyler ICU, and most recently, Tyla, have been dominating the international scene.
Khanyisa caught the eye of American RnB icon Alicia Keys, and she couldn’t hold her joy. The “Ngimoja” star shared a video of herself singing the Xhosa rendition of Keys’ 2010 hit single, Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready), and the star reacted to it.
Khanyisa shared Alicia’s reaction with the caption, “A year Later. This is honestly the Best Birthday gift sana!. Also it’s a testament of “Putting yourself out THERE! you will never know who is watching. Watching this video is so surreal! Enkosi @aliciakeys,”
Alicia Keys and her husband producer, Swizz Beatz, have been known to support African artists all over the world. In April, Swizz claimed that he and Alicia introduced Burna Boy and Wizkid to the American audience. Black Coffee also played at Swizz’s birthday party a few months back.
